Are these 5 facts true for you?
1- Dogs live a lot less than we do.
A dog’s life span is somewhere between 10 and 20 years. A short period of time considering their owners can live between 70 and 80 years.
However, this relatively short period of time is enough for them to change our lives forever, and we should do everything possible to make our time together count.
2- Dogs make us forget about stress
Petting a dog has been proven to reduce our heart rate considerably. Plus those extra walks and playing around in the park positively affect our heart’s health.
The emotional bond that the owners feel towards their pets helps to reduce their reaction to stress and it lowers their heart rate.
3- Dogs appreciate everything we do for them
Sorry to say this, but unlike cats, dogs seem to get a kick out of everything we do for them and they have wonderful ways to show appreciation.
It’s one of the most wonderful things about dogs.
4- Dogs do not understand a word you say. They understand you.
We talk to them all the time and they act as if they are understanding us, but truth be said, they just get those key words and commands and even the tone of our voice. That does not mean they understand our words.
However, it always seem that dogs have some idea of what we’re feeling and trying to say but can’t, they always seem to … get you.
5- Dogs do not like being left alone
Dogs cannot stand watching you leave and being left alone. That´s why they know where the windows are. They´ll watch you through the windows until you disappear.
Dogs don’t like to see you go away, even if you are just leaving the room, they want to stick to your side all the time and never to leave you.
